Exciting news for PVTU! Starting at our March public meeting, PVTU will now meet at the Schwenksville Borough Hall & Community Center!
As our public meetings have grown we’ve run into constraints with parking and space in our current venue, the Upper Perkiomen Valley Library (UPVL).
In addition, UPVL is at the far edge of our Chapter boundaries, and many membes have difficulty making the 35-40 minute drive on weekdays.
The PVTU Board initiated a search for venues that are more central to the Chapter boundaries and can accommodate our current & future growth trajectory. We were happy to find a new home at Schwenksville Borough Hall & Community Center.
A transformation of the former firehouse has created a community center with modern amenities, plenty of parking, and technological integration.
The board took inpout from members and a vote at the January public meeting about the venue change and a unanimous “yes” vote to change venues was recorded.
Starting with our March public meeting, PVTU will no longer meet at Upper Perkiomen Valley Library. We thank the library for accommodating our chapter (especially Joyce Weis, who was always there to let us in, even when it was cold and early!). We look forward to seeing you at the new venue!
