CONSERVATION

About PVTU Conservation

Perkiomen Valley Trout Unlimited supports a wide variety of conservation related activities within the Perkiomen Creek watershed that focus on the ecological stewardship of streams and surrounding riparian habitat.  Working with Trout Unlimited volunteers, local communities, private landowners, government agencies, and other stakeholders the chapter is actively committed to ensuring that our cold-water resources remain healthy and vibrant now and into the future.

PVTU Conservation Activities

  • Annual Stream Cleanup days
  • Tree planting and maintenance
  • Trout-In-the-Classroom support and release day activities
  • Macroinvertebrate and water quality surveys
  • Major Stream Improvement and Habitat Restoration projects

PVTU Chapter members volunteer considerable time and energy to support the conservation initiatives, and all members are encouraged and welcome to participate.
