Thank You, Volunteers! Tree Maintenance and Planting at Green Lane Park and Camelot Park

During the last week of October 2026, Perkiomen Valley Trout Unlimited (PVTU) volunteers joined up with volunteers from the Montgomery County Conservation District (MCCD), the Penn State Master Watershed Stewards (PSMWS) and the Friends of Green Lane Park (FGLP) for tree maintenance and tree planting along the Perkiomen Creek at Camelot Park and Green Lane Park.

Trees in riparian areas along streams and rivers help to purify water and stormwater runoff, recharge aquifers, prevent flooding and improve wildlife habitat.

Special thanks go out to partner volunteers Brian Vadino (MCCD), Chris Burns, Peg Lavery, and Sunni and Tom Miller from FGLP and PSMWS.

The PVTU volunteers were Sue and Jim Coffey, Mark and Deb Stannard, Jeff Arner, Jim Brennan, Craig Bardman, Eric Frankhouser, Steve Basson, Chris High and Brian McElroy.

Great job, everyone!
